Co-driver Andy

Hi,

A successful rally driver will only be able to finish a race in good standing with the second equally important component in his team, his co-driver.

So here's what the best co-drivers do, they go above and beyond! And because Rally Mark is always getting himself into some interesting situations it requires alot more than usual.

On the Drawing Board

Hi!

A sneak peek at what's on my drawing board this week, featuring a snippet of Rally Mark back in action!

I'll post the finished image another day as it's a work in progress and there's a bit more to it.

Enjoy!

Captain Marvel!

Hi there!

If you haven't been out to see Captain Marvel yet, DO IT!

I won't say much more than i really enjoyed it and did this sketch as part of a drawing challenge on facebook. This was the edited version i kinda wanted to end up with (and the bonus is it doesn't give anything away :) ).

Enjoy!

Hi!

Another caricature that was a lot of fun to do with so many inclusions and a fancy dress adding to the challenge!

Recent Work

Hi,

I've been beavering away at a few little projects last year and looking to do some new interesting stuff this year.

Here's a little gem from last year that i'm quite proud of, a caricature commission based on Agnes from Despicable Me.

Top 10 Pictures from 2016

A lot of images I create don't reach the internet mainly because I feel they are personal to the person they are created for, so here's a small glimpse into some of the works I create for the wonderful people in my life. Left to right from the top left here's the run down:

  1. Art Swap - http://www.loveyourwork.org/ - Run by Kalee Jackson this was my portrait entry into the artswap for 2016 based on the information given by the swap - next on is June/July this year - check it out!
  2. Anniversary - An slightly crazy but fun anniversary card for my wife.
  3. Birthday invite for my Zoe and Olivia, based on their suggestions of what should be included
  4. Rockin' dude - Unfortunately not coloured at the time of the birthday but sent and coloured recently i was really happy with how the 'flame hair' turned out on this.
  5. Kabuki - A cowgirl samurai idea based on David Mack's "Kabuki" is an inspirational set of graphic Novels (they are so cool i don't think calling them 'comic books' does them justice :)) Kabuki recently had it's 20th anniversary so it seemed like a good time to finally finish this piece.
  6. Gemini - For my sister Gillian - The idea that no matter what you're feeling life throws struggles at you and you will have to fight for what you want out of life.
  7. Kate - A starry bright image for for a bright and talented young lady.
  8. Dad - Based 1960's NZ motorbike racer Hugh Anderson and to encompass Dad's love of motorbike racing.
  9. Tom - Incorporating Tom's love of BMX for his birthday. Sometimes i like to include myself in the picture so note the Red Robin being bumped by his helmet :)
  10. Donna - A birthday card for our lovely playcentre friend Donna and my first attempt at a picture including Maori symbolism.

I hope you've enjoyed them and I look forward to sharing more in 2017.

Enjoy!
